Love

Love is not something I found.
It is something I remembered.
For a long time, I believed love lived in certain places: in relationships, in kind words, in moments that felt warm and safe. And while those expressions are real, they are not the whole of it.
Love is not something that arrives. It does not come and go. It does not withhold itself or wait to be earned. It is here.
I began to notice this slowly, not in grand moments, but in the quiet spaces between them. In the way my heart softened when I truly listened to someone. In the stillness that followed forgiveness. In the gentle awareness that even in my hardest days, something within me remained untouched, steady and present.
That was love.
Not as emotion.
Not as attachment.
But as a presence.
A presence that does not leave when circumstances change. A presence that does not diminish when life feels uncertain. A presence that holds everything…grief and joy, fear, and beauty — without needing anything to be different.
Love does not ask us to become something else. It asks only that we remember who we already are.
And as I have walked through life, through change, through loss and through growth, I have come to see that Love has never been separate from me.
It has been the quiet thread through it all. Waiting patiently for me to notice.
And in that noticing, something softens. The search quiets. The reaching eases.
And what once felt distant becomes gently, unmistakably present.
Love is no longer something I am trying to find. It is something I am learning to live as.
And in that remembering…
I am home.💖
Thought to Ponder
What might change, if you stopped searching for Love and began remembering it was already within you?
